I am not sure what I want to say here. I worked on a painting, it seemed to result in an improvement. Perhaps I can ask something. Is there a correlation between the times that I feel like I am "painting" and good results? It isn't wrong to enjoy oneself while painting and have one's itch scratched for doing so. I have no evidence though that the times I feel like I am simply painting, in the zone as they say, has any direct proportion to work/outcome that I am satisfied with. Surely Life and painting is a journey and nota destination but it would be nice for things to grow from ones intentions. Hopefully the metaphor isn't too mixed.
