still a dry spell

I was using photoshop to tweak some cityscape pics to look like model sets, it's called tilt shift. This one was so-so at best until it was cropped. It works I think.
The shadow of the blinds falling across this Kolchak picture look cool, I thought I'd share. The nude cardboard matches the wall color well enough that it ties it all together. That is to say that the uncropped pic might have a stronger quality to it than just the shadow lines over the painting itself. I've had other moments where the painting seemed to fit into the space it was in on some whole other level than just hanging there. Certainly a piece of art having a dialogue with its immediate environment isn't a new thing. It is though, a concept I do not tend to consider or even need to consider.


This last one is more of the painting. I am concerned about what is going on in my mental space in regards to painting. For example, I feel I hit the proverbial nail more squarely on the earlier plastic army men painting seen in this group. hmmmmmm, well it's not over yet.
