Is it "Hay Day" or Hey Day"? Or, perhaps, some third option.

I've been collecting coffee cup lids. I think I missed the time and place where one could find a lot of variety in them, but maybe I am not looking actively enough. Why? you ask. A few years ago I saw someone's collection of them. When you look at them all together the contrasts really show and the amount of variety in such a single function object is striking and noteworthy. I was a little jealous of the collection. I do have some pack rat tendencies so I thought I'd take a stab at it. However my collection after several months comes to three lids and two only differ in size as opposed to style. Something to look at What else? I've posted some paintings of recent effort. The larger taxi cab one is mentioned in the previous post if you want to know more. The cowboy, Charles Bronson really, is far from my favorite. It was meant as practice, in that sense it did the job fine. The diptic samurai was just a lark. I intended to make, or try and make, something easily consumable. I am not sure how close or how far I am of the mark there. I hope next to write about color. ciao r.
