Some more...

I have been doing of the monochromes. I think I need to bust out a bunch of work, to get into the act of doing.
A couple of things seem to have arisen since I started. One is that I seem unable to settle on a technique. Each of the ones that you can see are all done somewhat differently and incorporate some different elements. These elements include both material and color choices as well as how I am applying the pastel. I am also....struggling with the dichotomy of both trying to refine and somehow avoiding refining the technique. I hope to elaborated soon but not now.
Another issue, one that I have seen before and can't quite shake is seen here too. If you look at the top Picture the Frida one, it pulls to one side, to the left I think. It is visible in the charcoal one as well. It is more visible in a mirror and I have added a flipped image to demonstrate (it is the above image). it is possible to fix and even avoid this but it is an ongoing situation.
