I am totally hooked on downloading images. I like to think that this is both a good and useful thing. However it is possible that it is a distraction or a mania better left ungratified. The idea of course is that good writers tend to be good readers. Is there a direct translation to the illustration genre or is there enough out there, directly in front of me that hording all this nonsense is pointless at best?
I often complain about being boxed in by using mainly (only) photographs as reference material. If that is a problem how does having so so many images help? Yes they are interesting to me and maybe inspiration and/or fodder for work. I should though consider being more "present" and less indirect.
r.
